About Author- Who I Am & My Journey Towards Volvo Vives

I’m Mamun, the author and the founder of Volvo Vives. Like the readers of this platform, I am a Volvo enthusiast. I’m a certified automotive engineer and have been contributing to one of the largest Volvo communities in the United States for the last 8 years.

My passion for automobiles started when I was just a kid, with the first car of our family, the 1989 Volvo 240 DL. I spent the majority of my childhood in the passenger’s seat of this car and later on behind the wheels of the Volvo V90.

Every time there was a mechanical issue, I was the one to assist my father. This assistantship transitioned into my passion for automobiles and simultaneously the emotional connection with Volvo cars started to grow inside of me.

In 2012, I completed my master’s in automotive engineering from the University of Tennessee and transformed my passion into my profession. During my undergrad, I participated in a healthy number of workshops on automobiles and gathered some first-hand experiences.

I was lucky enough to buy my first Volvo in 2011, the Volvo S40 2008, a car that changed my view towards Volvo. I’ve got to learn about the cost of maintenance, cost of repair, and the little tricky troubleshooting techniques of modern Volvo vehicles since then.

The emotional connection with Volvo got a great shape when I did my internship in Volvo’s largest plant in Ridgeville, Berkley country in Southern California.

Since 2015, I have been actively participating in the Volvo community and trying to help people who drive and love these cars. I’m currently driving the Volvo XC60 2017 and spreading the knowledge I gathered throughout these years of connection with Volvo.
